Ds hasn't expressed the remotest interest in a Wii and doesn't even know what one is (it's a new games console for anyone who doesn't know, release date today) but we have one for him for Christmas, which arrived today. Ds will totally love it, as will dh.

But they're selling for ?500 odd on ebay, so that's a ?300 profit, shall I flog it and get ds something else? And get dh a Wii after Christmas when they're ?180 again?

Votes please, what would you do? (we don't need the cash as such but it's SUCH an easy ?300, that's my car insurance for the YEAR!)

Iota, true, true

LGJ, ex dh said "at least I can leave here, x (current dh) has got to listen to you going on about this all night"

There's a reason we're divorced

If you really need the money then sell it on ebay.

But if you dont really need the money then please keep it for his christmas present because it will be so ultra cool for him to get it. His mates will be so impressed. And I bet he loves it and plays with it loads

Sell!

nutcracker · 08/12/2006 18:07

I wouldn't, but only because I know people who would have liked to buy one and missed out today and aren't very happy at seeing so many now on ebay.

Some people even brought 2 from Amazon and then listed one on there to sell straight after.

perfumelady · 08/12/2006 18:07

i would go for it, cause that means your end up with another one when there back in stock and it won't have cost you a penny.

So fio, you'd go for it then before the price drops? I could get to the post office tomorrow am and send it special delivery.

LorinaLovesSprouts · 08/12/2006 18:13

Keep it!

He will be so happy on christmas day.You know he will or you wouldnt have ordered it in the first place

If you sell it you have the problem of what to get instead.

tamum · 08/12/2006 18:24

Oh sell, definitely. No moral issue at all. I even considered flogging dd's pink Nintendo ds briefly, but she really, really wants one so I can't bring myself to do it.

notreallyhereDee · 08/12/2006 18:25

if i had been able to get my hands on one or two then i wold be flogging them on ebay.

foxinsocks · 08/12/2006 18:25

I wouldn't

but I'm a bit of an ebayphobe and don't like the thought of taking ridiculous money off desperate folk (and you'd never believe I was a free marketeer at university!)

I also find it annoying because this is really Nintendo's fault for only drip feeding the market with these things
