I have set myself up for a fall. I suggested to my family that we cut down this year, and do 4 x £5 gifts - something to eat, wear, read and something silly.

I have my mum and dad covered on all four, and my sister and her partner on all but the something to read..... Because they don't read.

I need suggestions for something to read, that isn't a book book, for 2 x 20-something year old girls. They are not really in to much - their rabbit, 'Clash of Clans' (no idea).... um, nature programmes. I think that is about it.

Help, o wise ones! Please!

What about something like this. Comes in under budget if you buy from other sellers rather than Amazon itself.

Does your sister like fashion? There is a vogue colouring book on Amazon for £7 ?

What about a factual book you can dip in and out of rather than fiction. So, er, something about rabbits or nature? Or maybe a book that accompanies one of the David Attenborough documentaries that have been on TV?

How about The Book of Bunny Suicides (or one of the many spin offs)? Or does that only appeal to my sense of humour?!!

I can recommend graphic novels for non readers. My DH wouldn't pick up a book but happened to get him a walking dead graphic novel after the first series was on TV and now he has loads of graphic novels

Are they into fashion or make up, or watch vlogs? Zoella has a book and so does her boyfriend whose name escapes me. His book I think is called Pointless

I looked for.something magazine-y, couldn't see anything quite right.

Littlemiss, that is perfect.... For my DH! Thanks, another one ticked off!

Nothing make up, fashion etc. Bunny Suicides is one option, as is Evil Penguins.... If I can find it under a fiver!

Texts from Dog book - check it out on - easy, funny and you don't have to be a book lover to have a laugh at it - was perfect for my brother & he doesn't even have a dog.

I loved it too. Grin

Go on to forbidden planet.co.uk you will find loads of graphic novels - if you know that they like say the walking dead or gangsters films have a look at the graphic novels for them and start from there.

I was in waterstones yesterday and they have these little journals that you write a memory in for each day and it has five spaces, for five years. Its a lovely idea i think, looking back on the past years and remembering certain days etc. would that do?
