And I just want to tell you what we got because we had such a lovely time!!

As well as presents we have received money and vouchers through the Christmas appeal and so we have spent our pennies on lots of lovely bits for Christmas including:

Big tin of Quality Street (yuuuuum)
After Eight Mints
Lots of food for the next month
Wrapping paper
A smashing garland for the mantelpiece
Some little bits of holly to decorate said garland
A lovely wreath (real!)

Instead of putting the wreath on the front door (Scottish coast + high winds = not a good idea ), we have hung it above the fireplace (we have no picture/mirror to go above it so it's a bit bare). Dh put candles among the garland and when lit the warm air makes the pine on the wreath smell - gorgeous!

We are going to put the tree up at the weekend

AND AND AND .... biggest treat of all - instead of eating a sausage roll in the car on the way home - we had sandwiches in the cafe in Morrisons! Lunch out! Haven't done that in over a year I guess!

So thank you MN - every time we get the garland out I shall think of you all and smile . (And I will enjoy the choccies too )
