Great Christmas books for 8 year old?

Last year, I read the Children of Green Knowe to DCs (then 5 and 8). This year, it will be The Box of Delights. The Story of Holly and Ivy by Rumer Godden went down very well, too, but is probably not really one for very masculine boys.
