HappyMellowmas · 07/12/2006 07:34

Have to say though I am starting to stress a little bit now so will have to start doing something!!

meowmix · 07/12/2006 07:42

hello [waves] yes that would be me. No presents for family or friends back in the UK, nor for the people coming out here for Christmas and arriving in just 10 days, nor (shamed face) for DS, nor for DH. No cards neither AND you can't buy them here.

And worst of all DH and I agreed we wouldn't do presents for each other and I found a stack of wrapped presents with my name on 'hidden' in the laundry closet last night. EEEEEEEEEEK.

deaconblue · 07/12/2006 07:45

OH MY GOD, am having a panic attack on behalf of you all

justaphase · 07/12/2006 08:30

Hello!

Have not bot a single present yet! Not one!

Can't be that hard - I only have to do dh, ds, my parents and brother. Have no idea what to get though except for ds (thanks to a recent thread recommending the discovery tree)

Quite freaked out now

WhenSantaWentQuietlyMad · 07/12/2006 08:34

I haven't got any yet, except some stocking fillers. I like to have a mad panic, it gets me in the mood.

DimpledThighs · 07/12/2006 09:22

hello

me too - but not stressing. DH out tonight so I am planning a bit of quality time - me the internet and maybe some mulled wine.

anything I can't get will do in a blitz day sometime soon.

Haven't done a blessed thing.

tribpot · 07/12/2006 09:33

Btw, haven't sent out my cards yet either! But I have bought them, this is progress.

doggiesayswoof · 07/12/2006 09:43

None. Not a single present. Nada.

Sugarfree · 07/12/2006 09:44

Me too.Nothing beyond three glowsticks for stockings and a half hearted attempt at writing a list.

Carmenere · 07/12/2006 09:45

Me

doggiesayswoof · 07/12/2006 09:45

Wait a minute - I have bought a dressing gown for dd. Sorted.

onzephyrstdayofchristmas · 07/12/2006 09:47

Another one here who hasn't done a single thing yet!! Actually, that's a lie, I bought dd some cards for school but that's it!! I actually like doing the xMAS SHOPPING AROUND THE 23/24TH. Plus the fact that that I hate having things in the house that I know the kids are going to love - it's too tempting to give it to them and see their faces!!

Spidermama · 07/12/2006 09:49

I've done none. I haven't even planned it. I'm sure it'll all be fine though.
(Nervous smile)

FeelingOld · 07/12/2006 09:58

I have done about a quarter of it (pressies that is) haven't even thought about food yet.
I am so behind it is unbelievable, I had school xmas fare to organise, my dad got rushed into hospital at weekend when I was supposed to start my shopping (now visiting him every evening) and I am a childminder and I am looking after extra kids again today while their parents go off to do xmas shopping and make a day of it with a nice lunch out.
I must get mine all done this weekend but dh is away in London for the weekend with his firefighter collegues for their xmas do (and I have to look after the kids, visit my dad and also run my mum around cos she doesn't drive) !!
Not looking good is it?

FeelingOld · 07/12/2006 10:00

Oh and I haven't bought any cards either.

Well if you have to buy for people overseas and you are doing it online why not get it delivered direct to them. I know Amazon will do that and mark it as a gift. I'm sure loads of other places will too. OK so you pay more but then you'd have to pay postage too. This way you won't have to worry about wrapping and trailing to the post office. I'd call that very organised.

I've got pretty much most of mine done simply because I wanted to focus on the kids activities this year instead of fighting crowds. Did most of it online. But I usually leave it later - feel it has more of a festive feel about it then.

No need to panic yet. You just need to spend a couple of hours online and you can do the lot and feel smug
