I really liked it. They obviously wanted to avoid a mumsy advert like last year's after all the fuss it caused. I loved the general jolliness and having a broad range of people.

Tell me that ISN'T the JL advert. There was no "Wow" factor.
Bit samey as the Penguin one, but no quirky ending.

Does nothing for me, but I detest Asda and everything it stands for so frankly nothing would persuade me to shop there anyway (we do go in a few times a year for specific school uniform items, if we can't find any elsewhere, but it's always hideous).

It is a fucking annoying tune as well - which doesn't surprise me.

Well its not Christmassy so I don't like it. I like Nostalgia etc at christmas. I do not like disco lights and music

Its a fun ad, definitely has the feel good factor, but didn't make me feel very christmassy....

I like it. I think it taps into the Christmas experience of Asda's target market perfectly - really well pitched. Feels quite British, too. They've gone quite early, though

I've just seen the waitrose Christmas ad too. Again jolly, non Christmassy, music. Where are the bells?!

I like the ASDA one but the Lidls one is dire!!!

I like it better than last year's stupid one. It's a bit strange though it has absolutely nothing to do with Asda until the end when the Asda employees start tapping their bottoms and the logo comes up.

The John Lewis one oftern doesn't have much to do with John Lewis either but they somehow usually et away with it.

Was last year the one where the mum did everything? I don't mind this year's, at least they aren't pretending it's snows

best one I've seen so far is the anchor butter one - suspect that there are a lot of MNetters that will identify with it too

Gawd. Every cliché going! A pug in a Christmas hat, people sleeping off their dinner and people snogging at an office party (despite the fact people just don't have Christmas parties in their office anymore!). It actually depressed me and I've been feeling relatively christmassy! I do like the Anchor one for some reason.
