New fire 7 tablet, kids edition?

My 5.5 year old wants a tablet for Christmas and I think I'm going to get her one, it will be her only present other than stocking fillers and maybe she'll leave my iPad alone then. Can't afford more than a basic one but heard bad reviews about the £30-£40 Chinese ones. Looking at the new Amazon Fire 7 one for £50, anyone know if they are any good? Is it worth getting the 'kids edition' for £100 for the case, kids prime and 2 year guarantee or just the regular one and a case from elsewhere? Thanks

Anyone have any advice before i decide? She will use it mainly for Netflix and game apps...

I got one for my dd - she uses it for Netflix, the odd game, Minecraft etc - she's 7. We've been really pleased with it. We just got the £50 one and bought a separate case for it. I only paid a couple of pounds for her case, but they seem to have jumped in price. I think her case is now about £15 (it's a Mofred one)
