Hi all

If you're a newsletter subscriber you should be receiving a special Christmas Gift Recommendations newsletter today (if not, don't worry you can read it here ). We think the ideas and suggestions are pretty good, but, as everyone knows, Mumsnetters have infinitely more fantastic Christmas present ideas and suggestions than could possibly be contained in one mail out. So if you've got some additional inspirational thoughts on what to buy Granny, dh or the teenage godson, please post here.

Thanks
Mumsnet

what about for pregnant folk - either something soft and lovely for baby like a Taggie, or one of those new snuggly baby apron bathing towels - Cuddledry - those are the things I've bought friends

My parents have asked for PJs from M&S. It feels so boring but there it is.

Remind anyone who gives your children presents but doesn't have children of their own that On/Off Buttons are the best things invented followed by the volume button.

Zippitoes - your plants query....At one point all the Gemms needed nicknames (which needed to be different from their regular nicknames) for part of the research project and the lovely JJ was charged with finding something that had more than 100 names.. she came up with flowers. Hope that solves the mystery.

Have to say I've been inspired by some of the suggestions and hope to crack the bulk of my shopping one eve this week from computer. Keep the ideas coming!

I got the children to do those mugs and plates and bowls in the pottery shop it was a day out and the staff helped them paint thier hands and feet so they could do feet plates for granny then they added flowers etc even the baby got to put her paws on a cup for dadday it read daisy 1 daddy 51, and it still amuses me every morning and she is 5 in january. Best bit was once they got board we just took it home and i finished them later and took them back to fire them. We did the dogs paws too in pink with hearts. A big hit.
