princessJINGLEmelS · 05/12/2006 17:07

We had to supply black tracksuit bottoms (primark), white top and plimsoles, nursery has the sheep body and head! Better than having to make a whole sheep outfit I suppose.

roisin · 05/12/2006 17:10

Ours too Cod! One of the TAs irons all the costumes, another of them and one of the mums makes any new costumes that are required for all the shows and assemblies all year round.

And we rarely have dressing up days either.

Love it!

foxtrottothefestivegrotto · 05/12/2006 17:19

PPB yes, cockerel, it's a speaking part too. Along with the barn owl, goat, horse etc . Can't wait to see the show! [proud mum emoticon]

Angel costume has been provided by school for us too. Very pleased!

Mind you, still had to go out and buy another angel costume for DD to wear at the Christmas Eve church nativity service we are going to go to.

Gingerbear · 05/12/2006 20:33

smugness her in the bear cave too.
They have 20 angel costumes at DD's school.
No teatowels or bedsheets required.

foxtrottothefestivegrotto · 05/12/2006 20:43

cockerel's line is 'cockadoodledoo the baby is here'

Gingerbear · 05/12/2006 20:46

DD's nativity play has a cast of thousands. 30 kids from reception and 30 from nursery.

foxtrottothefestivegrotto · 05/12/2006 20:58

we have reception doing the 'acting' y1 singing and y2 narrating. So we have to make the most of this reception year beacuse then they will be just a little singing face in the crowd for the next two years. . There must be well over a 100 kids involved

Spicedfennelwine · 05/12/2006 21:01

Last year dd1's teacher made her an angel costume and dd2 was bought a Mary outfit by Joseph's parents - to match his costume.

Do I win successful opting out of maternal duties prize?
