Soapythelistmaker · 05/12/2006 22:46

Sorry I've not been around much lately, but I was away with work for a couple of days!

I've had a fair few emails in my absence which I will try to answer over the next day or so.

I'd also like to say a HUGE thank you to Jura who collected a whole forest of Christmas trees on Sunday and brought them over to my place, where I swear they are reproducing

It also turned out that Jura and my DH were in the same student accomodation at university, many moons ago - small world

The very very kind Hazell has also sent two enormous boxes of decorations and tinsel - so I will post some of that out to those wanting trees as well. With a following wind, I will try and get it all sent out early next week

Secretsantaclaus - yes I received my parcel late this evening, it really was far too much you shouldn't have gone to so much trouble the postage must have cost a fortune the clothes are lovely and the gifts very thoughtful, I have sent you a little Christmas card as a thanks, many many thanks again xxx

I am so and at all my secret santas, no more parcels OK!!! I'm sure they are more deserving people out there than us, we have had a hard year but fingers crossed will be turning the corner soon.

I am so at the generosity of other mumsnetters.

mumof3teens · 06/12/2006 17:18

I have just posted a package off to E & D in Flintshire. Post Office said it "should" be with you tomorrow. Happy Christmas.

SisterOfSoapbox · 06/12/2006 19:10

Just to let you know that another two companies have offered support for the Mumsnet Appeal! I'd like to thank FavouriteSweetShop.co.uk and also Vert Baudet for their kind offers of donations.

Soapy is dealing with the delivery details etc.!
At least she will be once she gets to her emails !

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 06/12/2006 19:12

Wow thats great. Thats the 2nd sweetie one isn't it?
Vertbaudet are great.

sockmonkey · 06/12/2006 19:30

Ahhh the spirit of christmas is spreading. I bet poor soapbox didn't think it would get this big!

Soapythelistmaker · 06/12/2006 21:41

A late offer of help has come in - let me know if you would like it

***

We have a brand new car seat we would like to donate if you can find
a needy home. It's a Nania Driver in Cola - details can be found at -

here

We purchased this from argos but lost the receipt therefore never bothered
trying to return it. It's never been used as was not a safe fit for our
car. We have a vectra and had trouble finding a car seat to fit properly.
I think it will fit most other cars, apparently a common problem for vectra's
though.

Let me know if you find a good home. It's heavy so I imagine it would need
collected. I live in Berkhamsted (Herts - Nr Hemel Hampsted)

Crystaltips · 06/12/2006 22:23

how do we check to see whether or not our parcel go through
Have trawled through the threads but not seen anything that looks remotely familiar
I botched up one parcel ... just want to make sure the other got through

Soapythelistmaker · 06/12/2006 22:44

Crystaltips - email me and I will check for you

InvalidUsername · 07/12/2006 07:49

tjacksonpfc · 07/12/2006 08:05

hi all i dont want to seem rude as its not inteded that way but on the other thread 2 people said that they were posting things ot to me this week i was just wondering if they had as a friend has asked me to go and stay with them for a few days and i dont want to go if things are on there way as we have new neighbours and i dont no them so cant ask them to take stuff in for me. so i wont go if the stuff has been posted until it has arrived. i would liek to thank again teh mumsnetters for ther generosity i cant believe it and i wiould like to find a way to repay them

OneofNemos2Santas · 07/12/2006 09:06
