They have got 1 between them which my mum got them from the £1 shop and Dd1 nabbed a Sky one that came through the letterbox.

Ds doesn't seem to have noticed and the Dd's haven't said anything either but they have mentioned that so and so at school has got such and such a one and now I feel awful for not getting them one but I just couldn't afford to buy them.

I suppose they have got one and that all that matters, but I keep thinking that the Dd's were probably expecting one on Dec 1st and then will have been dissapointed when I never got them one.

We haven't. Somewhere in the loft is one I made, that we haven't got down yet.

Have a look and see if you can find an online one. I did that one year when I hadn't got one in RL. I'll see if I can find the link.....

My three children only have one and it doesn't even have chocolates! Evil mother that I am

chocolaterobin · 05/12/2006 13:02

Sky one? We didnt get one of those?!

nutcracker · 05/12/2006 13:02

I think perhaps I should try and get a permanent one in the sale so that I always have one.

Just feel crap cos the dd's were discussing the ones they would have had, which were obviously the chocolate, bratz and barbie sort.

They aren't cheap though when you have to times it by 3 though are they lol.

I almost didn't, because it was so hard to find on that wasn't full of rubbishy chocolate.

In the end I got one, then ds opened all the windows on the 1st Dec and has shown no interest since, so it was waste of time and money anyhow

geogteach · 05/12/2006 13:03

There is an online one on the cbeebies website

nutcracker · 05/12/2006 13:03

The Sky one is just an advertising thingy, we don't even have sky anymore.
It's a picture out of the Narnia film and then has a programme behind each door i think.

Never thought of an online one.

LOL snafu

Thanks geogteach, will let Ds do that one.

The one my mum got them from the £1 shop is lovely,it's a 3d xmas tree and they had to put the glitter and decorations on it.

we don't have one as we didn't get round to buying one, but we have an advent candle which is lit at dinner every night.

I saw an idea of getting 25 christmas stars or tree decorations in a box and every day taking one out and hanging it up. Then as advent goes on you have a larger crowd of stars at your window or on the tree. sounds a nice idea and not too Bratz/Disney/Dr Who is.

but we didn't get round to that either. maybe next year.

nutcracker · 05/12/2006 13:11

Both of those ideas are lovely Sfw, maybe I can do that next year.

I didnt get dd one. We made a wreath instead and light the candle/s at night. She enjoys that much more.

munz · 05/12/2006 13:16

I did and I didn't! lol. didn't get the boy a choccy one cos i'd only eat it all, but did get him a fabric one which will come out next year (not this one thou)
