One of the guys at work always buys me a posh scented candle which I think is a good gift as it's not something one would necessarily buy for oneself.

Chanel nail varnish is a favourite for me if I'm buying for someone else because the colours are pretty classic and if they gift wrap it and put it in a Chanel bag it's a really nice gift to receive (I'm a sucker for packaging/giftwrapping!).

Anything from Jo Malone. Again, the packaging is lush...!
