I am willing to spend my hard earned cash to buy a couple of games to entertain us all during those long christmas evenings.

Can anyone recommend a couple of sure-fire winners?

Rapidough is pretty good - basically like pictionary but with Playdough. Kids and adults seems to enjoy the game and it christmas afternoon last year with the outlaws flew by!

Drunk Twister goes down well with my family and so do these dvd games out.
We've done Name the intro, Interactive seaside bingo(hilarious!!) and this year it's going to be Telly Addicts.

Try these freebies:
30 second drawing. Draw a line dividing an A4 sheet into 1/4s. Ask for suggestions of things to draw from the obvious eg house, car - to the difficult eg deckchair, House of commons to the wierd chaos theory, book of Genesis etc. Then you have 30 seconds to draw each. Marks out of 5.

Variations on consequences. Start of with a proverb or saying. Pass to the next person who draws it. Then they fold it and pass to the next one only showing their drawing and they must try and work out the saying. And so on.

They really only work if you can't draw too well!
