Came home today and found a little parcel - I opened it and inside was a beautiful necklace in christmassy paper. I didn't recognize the writing on the envelope. There was a message with the present, and I looked at it and read it and it took me a good while to understand what I saw -

a kind MNer had sent me a present! I was so stunned! Tbh I have never even clicked on soapy's threads, just didn't feel that I felt up to getting involved as a giver this year (too much going on), and I certainly didn't expect to become a receiver! WOW!!! How come? Who nominated me? Where did you get my address?

The necklace is lovely and I have worn it since I got it this lunchtime. The dd's love it, too, and dh can't believe it that a "stranger" sent me a present!
