Lego made me chuckle with her comment about sleep shopping in the last thread!

For all info see next post for links etc and let me know if a link doesn't work or a code is no longer valid or if I've missed something good Thanks

Tiredoftiredness · 21/10/2015 08:26

Popped into wilko yesterday, they have all their Christmas stuff out, and some lovely brown wrapping paper printed with red stags heads on their 3 for 2 plus a load of surprisingly nice other bits!

Don't get to do school run often as I teach but next school event I'll be looking at people wondering if they are you! Grin

Sorry all. Back to the bargains!

EskiDecaff · 21/10/2015 08:49

I've just been to the Sainsburys toy sale- same stuff as last year is reduced, vtech, playdough, my little pony, lego and duplo, sainsburys own bits. Couple of avengers bits and hot wheels and nerf.

PipersOrange · 21/10/2015 08:52

10extra for 10% off on living social (up to orders of £20 - perfect for that photo blanket Grin)

Nc19999992 · 21/10/2015 08:54

What savings can be had at the toy sale? Is it worth me going up for a wander or are the savings not going to tempt me if I don't need the item?!

BumpKitty · 21/10/2015 09:15

Just been to sainsburys, Anna and else toddler dolls for £12.50, toot toot repair centre for £19.99, avengers figures £6.50, Cinderella doll in carriage - I think it was 12.50 but not sure, half price on most, maybe all their own brand toys. There's a big hot wheels dinosaur set which was £25. If I remember more I'll post again

Reastie · 21/10/2015 09:15

Just got back from sainsburys toy sale but my mind has gone blank Blush I should've taken pictures. They had Lego reduced but it wasn't half price, it was maybe 20% off. They had craft sets etc discounted and frozen bits too. Sorry, this isn't very specific is it.

I got a baby annabell bath doll half price to £22 as dd has been asking for it. Does anyone know if I need to buy a special baby annabell bath for it to go in or any old doll bath/the sink? It looks from the photo as if you really put her in actual water (which is what dd wants to do) but I'm a bit clueless.

Lego roughly 25% off, reductions on all toys in purses, at least 20%. Thomas stuff 50% off and loads of frozen. Got a little frozen globe puzzle reduced from £5.75 to £1.25. Sainsburys own stuff good for little babies. Got loads of stocking stuff for a 1yo for a tenner. Will be going back later for another browse (I park there for school pick up/drop off)

woodwaj · 21/10/2015 09:30

Hope this pic works. Nice grandparent stocking filler for £3.50

Joining thread :) going to read back and get shopping!

curlingandtwirling · 21/10/2015 09:38

I've also been to to the toy sale.

To be honest, it's not that great, most of the things you can buy elsewhere at cheaper prices (B&M etc).

I am quote ruthless at checking prices leading up to sales as the supermarkets charge ridiculously high prices beforehand in order to justify the 'reductions'.

Sainsbury's you have let me down. On to the next sale...Grin

MaryMagdelene · 21/10/2015 09:47

Glen thanks for the heads up on L'occitane just got my mother the advent calendar and some other bits in the sale. The free gift looks lovely and there's another gift set for 15 euros when you buy over 50 euros worth. Free samples, free gift wrap and free delivery! Lovely x

PjDay · 21/10/2015 10:16

Thanks RJ, she loves Jacqueline Willson books so the mag subscription could be good. Currently sat with my tea in Sainsburys, got some mlp and frozen for DD2, not much for older dc tbh.

PjDay · 21/10/2015 10:20

Now I am wondering where neeko works... *pj whistles as she heads off to her work in a school...

TimonAndPumbaa · 21/10/2015 10:29

Does anyone have any idea where I can get bargain 'cloud 9' hair straighteners. They're £110 on amazon Shock.

PJ, my 11 year old and her friends love Zoella the youtuber and covet her beauty range at superdrug.

Thank you all for the lovely doll's house suggestions, I'm off for a browse Flowers.

Also think I might pop up to sainsbury's. Was it very busy as other people's local sainsbury's? Not really in the mood to be barged and bumped!

GreatSoprendo · 21/10/2015 10:30

Ive been to 2 branches of Sainsburys today to get Thomas Take and Play trains - they are all £3.49 which is a brilliant price. Also got the spiral track thing too, which was a fiver and includes a train - a great deal as a train alone is normally £7.

PjDay · 21/10/2015 10:32

Thanks timon I didn't know her range was available in the shops.

My Sainsburys is quiet now, but the coffee shop is mobbed!

GreatSoprendo · 21/10/2015 10:34

Sainsburys was not too busy, but I was there before 930am.
They had quite a lot of frozen and peppa stuff, but I agree that places like B&M always have that stuff cheap.

Other good deals I noticed were those Little Live Pet things for £7.49, a set of 4 Orchard Toys board games for £12.49, all the hot wheels and Barbies at half price.. Think the Lego was 30% off.

Lemonandlimejelly · 21/10/2015 10:41

Thorntons have sent me an email to say some of their bigger chocolate hampers (good for splitting up!) are better than half price today. I have just got this one
www.thorntons.co.uk/product/Hampers/Chocolate-Hampers/Ultimate-Chocoholic-Hamper/pc/2390/c/2223/1138.uts

Reduced from £80 to £34. The code AFT10 gives a further 10% off Smile. It's free delivery at the mo for orders over £35 so I added a couple of bits for me to save paying the £4 delivery.

jumpinghoops · 21/10/2015 10:47

Do Sainsburys sell the Thomas wooden trains and has anyone seen them discounted today? I'll make a special trip if I know I cam get some reduced but it's miles out the way!

custardcreamdreams · 21/10/2015 10:54

Sainsbury's here wasn't busy at all but then there is a limited toy section in my local one. Picked up a Barbie playset for half price which I know our B&M never sells.

SpottyTeacakes · 21/10/2015 10:55

I've been to sainsburys. Here's what I got. I was restrained I could have got loads for ds. Let me know if you want any prices.
