What will you be wearing over Christmas?

Are you planning on buying something new to wear on Christmas Day?
But also Christmas Eve, Christmas parties etc.
Tasteful? Warm and woolly? Covered in tinsel and fairy lights?

My last two Christmasses were spent being heavily pregnant, and I don't think I can get into my dresses from pre-pregnancy (tbh I don't even want to try - it's too depressing!)

Any ideas?

I ordered a crazy pair of Christmas trousers from zoecelebritystyle. £10, arrived the next day, decent quality, and I think they fit true to size. I look forward to wearing my crazy trousers with a silly jumper over the festive period!

We all have new clothes for Christmas Day,so I have to pick up 7 outfits.I usually buy a nice dress or a skirt and blouse.

Partybugs, I just checked Boden as I've been known to fit into Johnnie B dresses before, then remembered I'm pregnant and definitely won't fit into them this year! I saw a nice green tartan dress in a Gap outlet recently.

Depending on when dc2 decides to make an appearance either pyjamas or skinny jeans.

I bought a new navy woollen dress in M&S, which I kinda planned for Christmas. Now it definitely is as I need to be a bit more formal than I had intended. This one It looks boring and middle aged on the hanger but actually falls and swings quite nicely, and is comfortable but smart. A pair of navy or black heels (both in wardrobe) and probably a long gold chain necklace and that is sorted.

I have a Christmas Pudding jumper that I got in Next 2 years ago that will come out again with dark slim fit jeans and some boots.

I will also wear my plain black or navy ribbed polo neck jumpers with jeans and accessorise that with flashy Christmas earrings or my necklace that is a set of flashing Christmas lights. Tres bling and tacky!!

I have a fair few other smart casual outfits that will appear, some can be worn with hiking boots for a good tramp in the woods and others are a bit more smart for visits to maiden aunts. But mostly they are just nice and low key - I'd often wear them to my (professional) office on Fridays (I do casual Fridays unless I HAVE to be in formal wear). Jeans and nice tops, tunics over leggings, woolen dresses over opaque tights etc. There will hopefully be at least 1 day of slobbing in my tracksuit in an armchair by the fire!!

For nights out, I have a tunic from H&M that is a mountain over lake scene in various shades of grey that I wear over leggings, that I may wear for a work night out (if I lose the few pounds I've gained in the last few weeks - eek!!). And another navy tunic over navy leggings, but there are some great bright colours on the front of that tunic (Monsoon last winter for my 40th birthday). If I get lucky and have a chance for a dinner with DH, I have a lovely pine green dress to wear with heels.
