A no-leak, non-plastic travel mug

I am looking for a travel mug for DH that doesn't leak if chucked in his work bag.

He has one that has a great lid but it is plastic and makes the coffee taste horrible.

All I can find are ones that don't leak but don't keep the drink warm or ones that insulate but have a rubbish lid.

If anyone knows where I can get the perfect travel mug I'd be very grateful.

I find Contigo are the best, Amazon sell them, don't drip or leak, but test it as soon as you get it as I have had one that the vacuum didn't work and had to send it back to be replaced.

Came on to say the same, yes, Contigo!! Read the reviews on Amazon, some amazing colours as well!

I have a Bodum one and would recommend. Hasn't leaked yet.

Contigo - but the lid is plastic, and not supposed to go in the dishwasher.

It doesn't leak at all and I actually find it keeps my coffee too hot!!

Contigo all the way

Contigo west loop. I dishwasher the lid but not the coloured body. Lasted over a year of near daily use.

have trail 42 ones that we use when mountain biking. Guess they'd be fine when put in a bag as survive being on a bike.

try again

I like my Bodum one. Plastic lid but metal cup, with a rubber section round the centre so it's comfortable to hold. Keeps my drink hot for about 4 hours if I remember to close the lid when I'm not drinking it...

dh has two contigo mugs with handles and loves them.

He lost the first one a couple of weeks after I bought it for his birthday so I got him another just before he found the first one.

He uses them for work and for watching ds at footie training.

WeAllHaveWings · 13/10/2015 18:59

Our Contigo lid is dishwasher proof. Body needs hand washed.

Another recommendation for contigo. Mine often ends up upside down in my bag and never eve me leaks and keeps my coffee warm for hours.

EsmetheWitch · 13/10/2015 19:37

Brilliant, thank you for the suggestions.

DH asked if he could have it as an early present so I ordered a contigo mug today.

I like the Costco ones more than my Contigo ones. Both have plastic lids, but the Costco ones have a lock on them. Costco are Avex auto seal.

This is my favourite - you take the lid off to drink though. One fell off a fence post and was buried in my muck heap in the snow, found 12 months later.

A good dose of bleach and two spins through the dishwasher and it is as good as new Grin.

Oops sorry I see you have already ordered. We do have one Contigo one but it doesn't keep it hot for hours like a life venture one.

Maybe you don't need that though and want to drink though the lid.

So many choices!
