As a child we got one of these every year

ah yes baubleweed, and my DD will find one in her stocking this year.

Although on reflection, the one I bought doesn't really have any wrapping, so she won't know what it is (it came from another website so I didn't see the lack of packaging) and if I put it in the stocking she or DS may eat it.

every child should have a magic tree in their stocking

together with a polystyrene glider plane

and also a magic fish - anyone get those?

Yes yes yes!!!! See my list on the christmas stocking thread! Magic trees bought, magic fish still to buy.

paulaplumpbottom · 05/12/2006 19:54

I've never seen that before. Neat idea!

baubleweed · 05/12/2006 20:26

I used to get them, and those cat soaps that grow hair when you expose them to the air.

southeastastra · 05/12/2006 20:29

i've never seen those trees at all, they're weirdy

magic fish used to come in crackers, those were the days hehe

baubleweed · 05/12/2006 20:34

what cat soaps?

where? where?

OP posts:
mustrunmorenakedthroughthesnow · 05/12/2006 20:36

Think they've got them in Hawkins. They did have them in the Old Operating Theatre Museum gift shop for some odd reason

mustrunmorenakedthroughthesnow · 05/12/2006 20:38

weird cat soap here

mustrunmorenakedthroughthesnow · 05/12/2006 20:39

Ok, it wont let me go straight to it, but type cat soap in the quick finder!

baubleweed · 05/12/2006 20:43

brilliant

classic 'stocking' fodder - novelty value being of the essence for christmas morning glee in my experience

I could never understand other children getting actual useful things or proper toys of value in their stocking

OP posts:
baubleweed · 05/12/2006 20:44

yoyos are good too

mustrunmorenakedthroughthesnow · 05/12/2006 20:47

I used to love shrinkies too.
And those faces with the magnetic bits and pen to make beards etc?

baubleweed · 05/12/2006 20:51

ooh what are shrinkies? and other magnetic things?

OP posts:
baubleweed · 05/12/2006 21:10

Shrinkies are those things you colour in and then bake in the oven. They shrink down tiny, and you can turn them into keyrings etc.

mustrunmorenakedthroughthesnow · 05/12/2006 21:58

shrinkies if itll let me go straight to them
