Christmas mugs and plates

IsItMeOr · 11/10/2015 09:13

I love having some Christmas mugs to get out in December. Unfortunately, I am also very clumsy, so I don't have as many as I once did...

What I have are mostly from Portmerion Christmas Story, which has been discontinued.

Anybody seen anything that I might like? I don't get to the shops very often, and not sure where to start!

Oh wow! Thanks Partybugs, there are some beauties there, just my kind of thing.

I'm very tempted by the John Lewis 12 days of christmas. Now I know where to go on my shopping trip Xmas Smile.

I bought these last year. I have other bits of the collection and it looks lovely.

Spode Mug

I do like the Spode Christmas Tree collection as well - and the red/white stripe goes with the traditional pattern really beautifully.

Will need to find a local stockist so that I can go and admire it.

DH is not yet convinced that we need 12 new mugs. Plus I guess the set will really notice if/when I break several one.

Emma Bridgewater usually do some nice ones, but I haven't seen this year's catalogue yet.

Emma Bridgewater

Pricey but lovely and they hold their value. If you fancy a change next year you could soon sell them on again.

Lots on eBay too.

IsItMeOr · 11/10/2015 22:05

Thanks everybody. I am sure I will find something that suits.

Leeds and Adorabelle I hadn't seen the Emma Bridgewater ones before. I am going to suggest to DH that we get one of the mini mug tree decorations personalised for DH's sister who died this year (and loved a nice cup of tea). Thanks for the link.
