I was belting them out earlier while cooking dinner. VH1 are doing the Nations Favourite Christmas tune.
Shakin' Stevens is a good one.
So's Slade.
And Wizzard.
Who cares? Most of them are great!!!

danceswithreindeer · 02/12/2006 17:23

baby it's cold outside - not sure who it's by

santacutie · 02/12/2006 17:24

my favourite Christmas song is Jona Lewie's Stop the Cavalry

CatBert · 02/12/2006 17:29

Santacutie - Just what I was going to post. Couldn't remember who sang it - but there you are

I also have to admit to really liking the forg chorus, AND Mariah Carey "All I want for Christmas"

But I feel no shame in loving Fairytale of New York. A damn fine tune.

santacutie · 02/12/2006 17:34

Fairytale of New York is fab !
I can't listen to The Little Boy that Santa forgot, which is by Nat King Cole - tooooooooo sad !
Also love Santa Baby and that Greg Lake I believe in Father Christmas.... uh oh,think I'm going to have to dig out my Christmas cds !

I spend Christmas here in the UK, but always miss my family back home in Florida, so I'll be home for CHristmas makes me tear up

santasaltire · 03/12/2006 11:10

If it's cheesy we are after, then it has to be Wahm's Lat christmas.
However, if we are talking best, then for me it's always
Fairytale of New York, i usually end up screeching along to it after a couple of glasses of wine. I'm also partial to bing singing White Christmas. nobody sings it like he does

A spaceman came a travelling (I think that's what it's called!). I love the way this spaceman came from miles away and had something so very important to tell the world. What was his message of great magnitude?....... 'Na na na na na na na na na naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaH'!!! Cracks me up every time!
