Hi mn, have done some of my xmas shopping for dd1 already and it's things I know she'll like but it's not particularly exciting, i could do with some ideas for something a little different but not wildly expensive. So far all I've thought of is a personalised canvas picture does anyone have any other suggestions I have total brain block?

Sewing machine- My 14 year old loves hers (Christmas present last year). She makes beautiful presents for people out of scraps of cloth and old clothes.

Something for her room- a lamp, wall hanging, new quilt

vanity box for her make up

How about an experience voucher like zookeeper for a day or bird handling at an owl/falconry centre?

claraschu · 03/10/2015 15:17

A good experience voucher we got was an underage driving lesson. My son really enjoyed his, and it was a proper first lesson; he learned a lot.

Ooh lots of ideas for me to look through, thanks all. She isn't particularly into anything, she loves watching reality TV i.e. X factor, strictly ect but she has been to the x factor final and strictly tickets are a bit out of my price range at the mo. She isn't crafty or sporty or anything like that. She enjoys reading but I have bought her books, she has her own laptop and a nice phone, has lots of clothes, jewellery and perfume, had her bday in august as well. We are in the process of redecorating her room which is why i thought of the canvass. Did think of something like a nice bracelet/necklace but want to keep that idea for her 16th. I''m thinking some kind of tickets/experience maybe but not sure if she would enjoy an animal one.

I second the sewing machine idea, hobbycraft do some lovely Kirstie allsop fabric squares

DD(13) likes things from Lush, burts bees and impulse sprays

She has also asked for a Yankee Candle

She likes earrings (accessorize variety especially)

I'm going to get her the Sabrina the Teenage Witch Boxset as I saw it on amazon and thinks it will be a bit retro but something she will like. Also debating Gilmore girls one

She also likes those adult colouring books and the little notebooks and other accessories they do in paperchase

She wants some new converse trainers too and anything with panda's on!

IHaveBrilloHair · 03/10/2015 21:35

KTLEE, have you seen the killer Panda stuff?
I want a dress for me!
Dd got panda texting gloves for her birthday with she loves.

How about a manicure at a nail bar bought to do say on Christmas Eve ?

My DD said her favourite present last year was a Costa voucher card which she used to buy hot chocolate with after school on her way home Smile
