I always get dh a new game, usually fifa.
This year I might get him a new silk tie, his hair putty stuff and cufflinks

LetThereBeCupcakes · 29/09/2015 09:24

I’m guessing your DH likes oranges!

DVDs aren’t too big – we usually have one in our stockings.

Books – you can get all sorts of novelty ones, different shapes and sizes to go in stockings.
Sodoku book or similar
Wallet
Favourite / novelty beer
Cover for his phone (you can get photo ones made up reasonably cheaply)
Some sort of puzzle – wooden one / rubiks cube type thing. Mini bedlam cube?

So far this year I've bought DP a pair of Marvel boxers, some mini soaps in the shape of Lego men and a personalised mug from Photobox. Last year I bought him a tube of Smarties, beard oil, misteltoe boxers, a dinosaur flannel with his name on, a lip-shaped toothpaste dispenser so he can get the last bit out of the tube, fluffy socks from joules, a personalised phone case and a few other bits I can't remember.
We're only doing stockings for each other this year and we've got a £30 limit so I'm struggling to find meaningful things that will fit in a stocking for that price! Think I might get him something sudoku related and maybe a DVD as a big-ish present.

Thank you for your reaponses.
Laughing at lettherebecupcakes post hehe "clockwork orange" he does like his oranges.
I think I will include a DvD too.

I agree its hard finding things that are not all junk. We normally have £10/20 limit too.

I like the phone cover idea but Im going to save that for Fathers Day. Good Idea that thank you Smile

Just thought some smellies too.

I got some brilliant wooden "breaking bad" style personalised keyrings made up for OH and sons last year (ebay)- they were fab.

Also got DH a proper razor that takes standard mach 3 or whatever blades but the handle was made out of wood from old oak whisky casks - 'tis lovely though not that cheap.

hat/gloves (proper outdoor style ones, berghaus etc)

Nice pack of Cards

Travel Game

iTunes voucher

fancy condiments e.g. Chutney/mustard

Fancy coffee beans/tea bags

Nice pens

Manicure set/nail clippers etc

Christmas t-shirt/pants/lounge trousers

twiglet Do you know where you got your mini Lego soaps from? Smile

myotherusernameisbetter · 29/09/2015 14:52

I don't know about twiglet, but I got some of those little lego man soaps from ebay - FB selling pages are also quite good for that type of stuff if you can find it amongst all the glittery shit :o

happsymum · 29/09/2015 15:29

Thank you myotherusernameisbetter why didn't I think eBay! Smile

FireInTheDisco · 29/09/2015 16:04

How old are your DC? You could have them decorate some plain white handkerchiefs with fabric pens, it would make a great stocking filler Smile

TwigletLola · 29/09/2015 16:14

I did indeed get them from eBay Grin There are loads on there and plenty on Etsy too. They're sometimes described as party favours.

beetrootpickle · 29/09/2015 17:22

Mine is getting some new Beanie (dog walking!) hats, an internet password book, chocolates, favourite bottle of cider, chilli jams/hot sauces, naice socks and CK pants.

DH and I have a business, and we're a bit guilty of always working then spending all weekend with DC dong stuff with them, and not making time for us - so I look out for groupon deals for fun stuff for us to do - (watch out for expiry dates, though)

He's had falconry days, meals out, hotel stay with champagne ( I enjoyed that one too Wink!) clay pigeon shooting, boat hire for a day, wine tasting.
