Getting Lego advent calendar for DS. Is there an equivalent for a non Lego loving DD?

As the title says really. It's obviously an expensive treat just for a change this year. Is there anything similar for a 10yr old girl who isn't into Lego.
Thanks

Lego Friends is a more girly type of Lego
Or Playmobil calendars are lovely.

Check out the Christmas bargain threads.

Depending on whether she is young for her age or not there are some stationery/you type calendars (smiggle) or jewellery, tween cosmetics type ones.

You could make her one with 24 little drawstring bags each containing a little chocolate, a nail varnish or a nice pen/eraser etc. It would probably work out cheaper than the Lego one too!

Thanks. She's not into Lego or play mobile or any of that stuff.

I will have a look at stationery type ones. She isn't young for her age but not really at the 12/13yr stage so it's tricky.

Making one sounds lovely but with a f/t job and 4kids inc 2 under 5, I just can't see that happening. Smile

Get one of the make your own ones and put an interesting different bead into each bag/slot with the chocolate - she can put them together to make a bracelet.

Oh you don't actually have to make your own, you can just buy a re-usable one. I saw some nice felt hang-up ones at Dobbies last year, for instance, or if you did feel like a little crafting with the kids, you could decorate something like this wooden one from HobbyCraft.

Old fashioned chocolate one?

Nearlyadoctor · 28/09/2015 13:32

Smiggle - I would have loved this at that age.

Just came on to say Smiggle!

RupertTheBear · 28/09/2015 13:36

I got my 10 year old a nail varnish one last year. It was from Amazon I think.

M4blues · 28/09/2015 13:48

Thanks all! Just ordered the smiggle one! I think she'll really like it.
