Donkey outfit - ideas anyone?

I really ought to be able to make a donkey outfit for DS2, aged 5 (today!) but can't think where to begin, as I'm completely hopeless at sewing. Too embarassed to ask mother or mother in law. And am too much of a cheapskate to buy an outfit - anyone got an idiots guide to making a donkey outfit (body only, school are providing donkey ears)??
Any help gratefully received...

Brown or grey baggy tshirt and trousers with a tail(plaited brown/black wool) sewn on the back. you could make black card rings loosely around his wrists and ankles for hooves.

(I think they are about £6 in Asda)

I read this as someone wanting an outfit for a donkey. No idea why I clicked on it though....

Lol at clicking for a outfit for a donkey - if I had a donkey, I'd probably dress it up occasionally....
