What can we do on Boxing Day, as adults?!

The younger DCs will not be with us on Boxing Day, and all but one of the older ones is heading off to be with their boyfriend/girlfriend's family.

There will be me, DH and one adult DC. We don't want to spend the day with family or friends as have lots booked up before and after then.

We're on the London/Essex border but will happily drive somewhere an hour or so away.

Can't to do a musical as are doing that as a family on the 23rd but open to all other suggestions.

Nice walk in Epping Forest. Especially if you buy some presents you can use eg thermos flask, bird spotting guide etc. or is that just incredibly sad and old person?

Yy a lovely walk and pub lunch.

I'd go into London and do a festive afternoon tea, maybe a walk around/look at the shops if interested

Horse racing? Kempton park winter festival will be on. Set yourself a betting limit and see what happens.

Greenwich? The museums aren't open on Boxing Day, but the covered market, shops and cafes are. If it's fine you can walk in the Park or along the river.

I don't think a walk sounds sad or old, just not sure if its enough to keep us going have spent the previous day together. We might need something else going on. I'm wondering about heading to the coast.

A festive tea is right up my street! So much so I have two booked during December already so I suspect i may have had my fill by then.

Kempton Park and Greenwich sound interesting, I'll look into those.

Its hard keeping everyone happy and entertained.
