I'm really tempted, I cant really afford to buy loads of stuff but it looks like such fun and I could easily ditch DH and the kids and go by myself or with a friend!!

Anyone been and can recommend or not?

Yes!! Do it.. I loved it. Didn't like Ideal Home Christmas one at Earls Court.. But this one at Islington is fab! I didn't buy a lot but loved milling around. X

I went to one about 5 years ago, Spirit of Christmas fayre at Olympia I think.
Biggest load of tat ever! Bought nothing but 2 glasses of champagne.
Not really sure what I was expecting to be honest, but pretty much everything I saw was available to buy in virtually any large town or shopping centre.
The upstairs food court was lovely though, and lots of free samples. But then I'd happily spend money on food, less so on Christmas themed 'bespoke' photo frames and beanbags!
Friend and I had a nice day, we still laugh about it now and how we are still getting emails from them with the new dates. Never again for us, but it was very busy and it might be up your street.

Try our Local site for Islington, which has a talk board where you can ask locals for advice & recommendations, plus thousands of listings including a What's On guide: local.mumsnet.com/islington

I went, it was stupidly busy (mid week during the day)and everything was so expensive, food bit was nice though.

I went with my mum last year, we were so excited but it really didn't live up to our expectations. Very busy, very expensive and nothing that exciting really. We left after a couple of hours and had a mooch round London which was much more fun and Christmassy. I wouldn't recommend it personally.
