DS is 7. I usually have a fairly good idea about what to get but I am utterly stuck this year.

He is showing a small interest in the little Lego kits but other than that I am stumped!

D's turns 9 at Christmas. For birthday / Christmas from us and other members of family my ideas so far are:

Star Wars stuff
Football kit
New shin pads, boot bag and gloves
Bigger goals for the garden
FIFA 16
Google play voucher
Magazine subscription

Thanks everyone. Some good ideas. He'd love the fart blaster so that is on the list. The new Lego game might just be the answer so I think I will go on the preorder for that.

My ds turns 4 just after Christmas. He has recently discovered Lego so I'm sure there will be lots of that on his wish list!

We will be getting him
Bike with stabilisers
Scooby doo lego - mystery machine and haunted house
Batman Lego
Spider-man Lego
Lego head storage
Convertible Fire engine book
And after seeing them further up the thread a fart blaster - he will love it.

I've already got a couple of the Lego sets at a really good price, I'm just hoping the Scooby Doo ones will come down in price before Christmas.

My DS is 7 and he'll be getting the new Skylanders game (I've pre-ordered the dark edition with all of the 'rare' bits, I learned my lesson after Trap Team woes last year). He's recently discovered Harry Potter, so HP stuff and the film collection, he already has the books. We'll have a day in town with him and let him spend some money in the joke shop and Forbidden Planet and go for lunch and cakes. Usual stocking tat, chocolate coins, etc. Possibly some more nerf stuff and a game or two for the Wii U.

Lego knights castle (can't decide which one)

Minion fart gun

Lego train, audiobooks, probably some actual books, maybe chess set. It's Lego that he asks for the most!

Anyone thinking of buying a Minion Fartblaster - they are reduced in B&M at the moment to £14.99.

DS (5) is getting a waterproof digital camera as his main present from me, some books, and a box of assorted Lego bricks from his little sister. His stocking from Father Christmas will have:

  • Lego Junior Spider-Man car
  • Deadly 10 series 1 and 2
  • Deadly 60 book
  • Octonauts DVD
  • String (his favourite toy!)
  • Chocolate coins
  • Bath bomb
  • Other bits & bobs I haven't thought of yet
