Hi!

the postmans just been and gave me a box sent from a fellow munsnetter. The box was a shoebox, I think "bootleg" shoes and it contained toys for my ds's and a box of mint chocs for me!

I'm really posting here as once again I can't believe the thought and care taken to sent me and my family these things, I know when you have kids you are always short of money and time and for a fellow mum to take the trouble to package these things up and send them to my family really really makes me overwhelmed.

Thanks you for the Christmas card too, I only wish I had a return address to post you one back.

Failing that can I just send you my sincere thanks and gratitude, and I wish you and you're family a happy and healthy Christmas and New Year!

from ssd x x a very grateful MNetter!

SantaToSSD · 04/12/2006 09:42

Hi ssd. I am just sorry it wasn't more and in a better state. I feel ashamed of what I could do in comparison to others, but I am sure you appreciate the spirit behind it. I wish to remain anonymous, but I will hang your virtual Christmas card with my others!

lollymummy · 04/12/2006 09:51

I'd like to say a BIG thank you to all of my givers as I have received an Argos gift card for £10.00, a lovely wrapped present for my youngest son and a £15.00 tesco gift card, they are all great and people on here are so lovely, I am so happy.

Me and my 4 children will now have a better than usual christmas all thanks to Mumsnet users.

You are all lovely.

nutcracker · 04/12/2006 10:09

Am sitting here in shock again, huge thanks to Sunchowder and Puddytats, how very lovely of you both, am too speechless to say more xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

theposterformerlyknownasMammyM · 04/12/2006 10:22

I can't believe I've received another parcel this morning! Once again, all beautifully wrapped up and signed 'love Santa' (of course!) Gifts for each of my three children, a box of (swiss) choccies and a £10 Argos voucher (very, very grateful for that!) So off to buy dd a baby born car or bed as she wasn't going to get it as they're soooooo expensive but with the 25% off and a £10 voucher, it's now affordable!!!! Thankyou so much, btw, this MNetter has the same name as me and two of her children share names with 2 of hers! Is that enough of a clue? (I hope so!)

notreallyhereDee · 04/12/2006 10:25

puddytats thank you so much for my pressie for me, i am dying to open it, but have put it with all the other stuff to go under the tree,

puddytats · 04/12/2006 10:36

Noreallyheredee and Nutcracker, it is my pleasure. Just glad i can help.

RickmanAroundTheXmasTree · 04/12/2006 10:41

Well I'm in shock again this morning at receiving more presents. Can I thank puddytats - for the little present for me, shouldbedoingthehousework - for the presents for C and N and crystaltips - for the presents for A. You've all been so massively generous, I really do appreciate it. If any of you want to email me your address, I'd love to send you a card - harman1969 at hotmail dot com

ShinyHappyStarOfBethlehem · 04/12/2006 10:42

Another person here amazed, overawed and very very grateful for yet another Mumsnet envelope through the door this morning.

It is an Amazon voucher for 14 year old DS1, from Mner "Anne". I afraid he knows about this one because he was peering over my shoulder when I opened it (the envelope didn't look "secret").. so I am able to tell you already that he is absolutely thrilled.. and indeed shocked.. he said "Why is this lady sending this just for me when she doesn't know me?" I said that some people, especially Mumsnetters it seems, do these kind of things for strangers. He is very please and wanted me to tell you thankyou.. there is so much on Amazon to choose from, not just books. dvds etc.

Once again I am amazed and slightly.. uncomfortable is too strong a word.. hard to say what I mean.. but just.. speechles.. that this is happening; it was so unexpected.. I was online when Soapy first posted her idea but never thought it will escalate like this!

Anne, I don't know which Mner you are, but we in the ShinyHappy household think you are amazing and lovely and want to wish you a very happy Christmas and New Year.

HunkerTheInternetPhenomenon · 04/12/2006 10:46
