soapbox · 24/11/2006 19:27

I thought I had better start a new thread in case the old one falls over at 1000 posts.

First of all I would like to say a big thank you to all those who have helped make this a huge success Thanks to all of you, life will be a little bit easier for some of our MNetters this year!

Firstly all of the MNetters - without you this would only have been a pipe dream! Givers and receivers - all take a bow

Then the corporates:
GLTC - for going well beyond the call of duty
Hazell -www.verko.co.uk- for her most generous offer of christmas trees - I hope you join in and make some new friends here
Great expectations - a lovely company with wonderful fairtraded toys and again help beyond what was expected.
LCC - to Jaysmummy for her crafty goodies and warm hearted support
www.thesweetiestop.co.uk - for their generous support

And of course it goes almost without saying, MNHQ!

**

How it works:

You email me:

[email protected]

as a giver or receiver. If a receiver I will ask for a bit more information to find a good match for you. If a giver I will find someone for you to send your gift to.

All matches to be done by 30 November (did I really promise that)

All gifts to be posted by 15 December (at the latest).

JARMsSanta · 26/11/2006 22:26

Hi there,

Are there any clothes in Particular you need for the girls as I have alot that my DD has outgrown.

She is now 4 and I have not got rid of many at all.

If you prefer vouchers, which stores

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 26/11/2006 22:29

ooooooooh you spoil me!!!

TBH I think we are ok for clothes for Becky (has Jess's cast-offs!) but Jess is taking a spurt again! Jessica is in 2-3 bottoms but 3-4 tops x

If you prefer to save postage and get a voucher, we have all the usuals - woolies, argos etc and toys r us isnt local but is on way to my dads and we are there most weekends.

Totally up to you my lovely!!!

I have a "moment" coming on - Im outta here!!!

soapbox · 26/11/2006 22:38

Wow isn't this all so exciting

My poor computer is almost smouldering at the amount of action it has received this evening

I did have to rush through things a bit in order to get as much matching done as possible - so if you want more ideas about your matchee then either emial me and I'll send what I have or post here as xxxxxx's santa as some have already done Which is fun to watch and keeps the thread at the top of active convos where everyone can see

NEWS:

Not everybody has been matched yet - I have about 10 families that were nominated for help that we have only just contacted and so I need to keep some givers back for those families. As soon as I can, I will match you up - so please be patient.

I am putting a cut off point for any new nominations or self-referrals at midnight tonight - so that we can be sure how many families we need to cover If by any chance a case of extreme hardship does come up after that deadline, then do email me and I will call in some favours where I can

dd1 has just helped me box up the goodies and wrap up something for mummy too. (a bit of a late night but she relaly wanted to help)

soapbox · 26/11/2006 22:47

OK you lot - don't spoil all the surprises
