I've got 2 ds ages 8 and 6 and need Xmas present ideas.

Nothing electronic as they already have 3ds, ps4, tablet etc and that's more than enough.

I was thinking of some actual toys as they never actually just sit and play like I used to.

what board games are good for a 6 year old without him getting bored within 5 mins.

what are 8 and 6 year old boys favourite toys?

Booma indoor boomerang, Galt book of paper planes and fossil kit (where you mine dinosaur fossils out of rock) have gone down well with boys that age in recent years.

Also a den building kit and Where's Wally book.

Lego?

Where's wally, they'd love that!

should of said no lego haha. I end up making it and they just leave on the floor which in the middle of the night when you can't see and stand on it hurts!

My son got labyrinth board game last Christmas, he was 7. He really enjoys it, it's challenging without being impossible, and its great for adults too so we don't get bored playing with him!

He also got an ultra violet pen, you know the ones with the invisible ink and a little light to make it visible. It's a small gift, but my son loved it!

Bit older than your boys but my DS will be 16 this December .

He has XBox (360 and One) we're getting him an upgrade for his birthday
He has Young Driver lessons
He said "Don't buy me points (MicroSoft) I get those online)
He doesn't "do" clothes
He wears Lynx (the shame )

One thing I have thought of (and if you have loads of gadgets , might be an idea) is a couple of sets of rechargeable batteries + chargers just for Him.
Save the planet and we won't have empty ice-cream tubs full of random AA dead batteries.
