For the first time ever, I'm really stuck as to what I can buy DD1 for Christmas and wondered whether anyone else's inspiration could help me!

babeee annabel - she has an old doll that was a hand me down that she has rediscovered in the last few months and so want to get her one of her own. Few bits (nappies, babygros etc.), sparkly red shoes (a la dorothy wizard of oz), ballet outfit and THAT'S IT!

fennel · 22/11/2006 20:21

dd2's favourite christmas present last year, when she was 4, was a chocolate making machine (Ready steady cook). It's dumb, you melt chocolate, pump it through the machine and set it in little moulds. and then have lots of cleaning up to do. but she adored it.

this year, she's getting the ice cream maker. which is supposed to be similarly irritating (suspect we'll have to melt ice cream, pour it in and set it) but she'll love it.

morningpaper · 22/11/2006 20:31

fennel

WTF is the point of the chocolate maker?!!! Sounds AWFUL

Snowstorm · 22/11/2006 20:38

Disney princess duvet covers, sparkly lights for bedroom, disney princess stickarounds and pictures for her walls., She announced that she has grown out of Winnie the Pooh - and tbh redoing her bedroom for Christmas means we do not add to the plastic mountain!

Troutpout · 26/11/2006 22:29

dd is 4 on Jan 2nd
For xmas we have brought her
Dancing princesses dance mat
Lazy town stephanie dressing up outfit
pooping barbie dog
Charlie and lola book/activity thing
carebear necklace
assorted craft stuff

she's also getting a scooter with flashing lights
and polly pocket stuff from other people

sorkycake · 26/11/2006 22:40

digital camera
baby born doll & carrier
games
jigsaws
C&L everything available
scooter
BUT the biggest spend has been on the Littlest Pet Shop stuff, every girl in Dd's class either has or is asking for this.
