My DS's aged 4 and 7 spent ages making these and they are lovely little gifts for friends or grandparents, really cheap and easy too..
Collect some loo rolls and cover with old xmas paper/tissue paper/pain/glitter/ribbon or whatever so they look like xmas crackers and pop in a few chocolate coins/xmas figures (from Aldi/Lidl/Home bargains as nice and cheap!)tie up ends and hey presto.... DS's had great fun!
Also...attached bits of xmassy coloured thread to choc coins/figures to make inexpensive tree chocs....
Also...place a handful of dried lavender in a square of xmasy fabric, tie with a bit of tartan ribbon...hey presto.. drawer/pomandery type things for grannies/mums!!!(we cut up an old gingham shirt for this/dried lavender about £2 from dunelm!!)
oooh I love christmas and making things with the children...
Will post more if I think of anything really original xxxxxxx
