couple of questions. think it should go in this section.

  1. what type of boxes do you use? can you make those as well.
  2. what recipes do you use?
  3. do you think it's tight if I only put between 12-20 in there?

we've come into a little bit of money but am still keeping xmas tight as I don't want to rack up CC debt again so was thinking that cookies would be nice, and I know my grandparents would love them.

also for PIL/M&D was going to do a hand print of J's hands can you do those inexpensivly from home or do you have to get a kit to do it, as I know both of them would love that.

You could buy A4 size clip frames from cheapo shop like wilkinsos or tescos (i think also sell) anyway type this poem onto a4 card in fancy print then get your child to dip their hand in water based paint (elc?) and onto card. Don't forget to date it as well!

Sometimes you get discouraged
Because I am so small
And always leave my fingerprints
On furniture and walls
But every day I'm growing --
I'll be grown some day
And all those tiny handprints
Will surely fade away

So here's a little handprint
Just so you can recall
Exactly how my fingers looked
When I was very small

or there is this version

Sometimes you get so discouraged
Because I am so small
And always leave my fingerprints
On furniture and walls.

But every day I'm growing up
And soon I'll be so tall
That all those little handprints
Will be hard to recall.

So here's a special handprint
Just so that you can say,
This is how my fingers looked
When I placed them here today.

Buy a nice tupperware-style tub so it has a secondary use after the biscuits have gone.

I've just got some holly printed cellaphane bags from lakeland for doing just this with.
Paint hand prints can be done easy at home, may be pop them in frames from woolies? nice on coloured paper, prehaps with poem printed? or can you do caligraphy? i can't!
my siL has done hand prints on tea towels with fabric paint as christmas gifts before.

munz · 16/11/2006 09:01

ooh uni u - now do I do towels or photos - photots I think! lol.

will look into lakeland, and then pop them in one of our old tupperwears as we'll be posting some up north so they'll need a sturdy transport thingy!
