Cheap and cheerful Xmas treats for everyone

A few threads have mentioned treats for kids at Xmas time, some of these can be really expensive so maybe if people know of things and events going on which are cheap (or even free) we could post them here.

local museums often do fun Christmas activities - making decorations, that sort of thing.

going for a walk in the park collecting pine cones.

• going to watch the christmas lights switch on.

-going carol singing with church/ brownies etc

got a free dvd in my shopping mall today if you spent £15 anywhere in the mall
its a father christmas dvd which will be great to watch when they break up on friday 22nd at 2pm
