just reading thread of christmas present flops
sounds like their are lots of wooden dolls houses/castles from ELC sat still in boxes unopened
carring on up the thread other people had these high on their list of to buy
you should get together and put your stuff on the for sale board or e-bay
make room for the new toys

I did this last year with an Ironing Board DD had from her GP's, which she used as nothing more than a step to gain access to the goodie cupboard. However will be slightly harder to do things like that this year as FIL has just opened an e-bay account and MIl yesterday asked what my ID was. Being a bit dim (well I am 8.5 mnths pg) I did'nt think to lie and gave it away. So now he can trace if I sell anything anyone from the family give us

nikkie · 12/11/2006 21:17

have to do it here instead!

helenhismadwife · 13/11/2006 15:16

or get a 2nd e bay ID I have two or three

VanillaMilkshake · 13/11/2006 19:42

Was thinkning of getting a second ID or chaning my name - but I have built up such a nice big 100% reputation (proud emoticon) that I dont want to.

Also MIL told me what FIL was called but I could'nt see him when I went to the community! I could actualy have told her the wrong name anyway as she's not very PC literate and I could have blamed her for writing it down wrong - why do we get such good ideas after the event!

I have three accounts one that I sell on that has nearly 800 positives a few negatives worse luck another that I use to buy stuff that has about 40 but it soon grows the other one has about 30 as well thats my 'gift buying' account that nobody knows about not even dh.

VanillaMilkshake · 14/11/2006 08:45

Am going to have to give this come consideration no as MIL phoned last night and mentioned they had some of my purchases - not knowing what they were asked what Peachy Cheeks was - had to explain they were biodegradable nappy liners and I would be using reuseables this time round (baby due in 4 weeks). which led on to a 20 chat about how I should wash nappies .
I need to regain my shopping privacy!

VM you're better off selling it in free ad papers anyway - no insert fees, no sale fees, buyer collects etc. You can put a picture up online for free so nobody wastes your time coming to view. Have a look at www.gumtree.com to find your local one.

helenhismadwife · 14/11/2006 12:59

VMS what a cheek!! it is easy to set up another e bay account

VanillaMilkshake · 14/11/2006 20:01

Have decided while on mat leave am actually going to open a shop! Esp if bump is a boy - will have enough stock to last me till I go back to workl and perhaps I can make up for the drop in pay

There is the facility to change your e-bay user ID without losing the positive feedback that you have built up?
Log onto E-bay and goto 'My E-Bay'
On the left hand side under 'My Account', click on 'Personal Information', then in the User ID and Password Information section, click EDIT next to your User ID, you will then be able to Change your User ID.

Thanks MM, am going to have a look into this if the comments keep coming from MIL.
