These pink DS Ninetendo thingy's ?

Our 6 six year old isn't very with it or particualrly into computers unlike her mother.
All the girls in her class apparently are having these DS lites and she would like one but i don't think she really understands what it is and just wants it because the hip girls have one.
Shall I buy it anyway before they sell out and then she can say she has one and will grow into it ????

my boys have ds lites
bet she would love the dog game where you have to look after a dog, take it walks, feed it
also zoo tycoon is good where you have to build your own zoo
my boys got theirs for b/days and have used them lots was great on ferrie over to ireland at half term
i think once shown what to do she would get the hang of it

it is a shame though as she not into pc's i would prob buy her toys and wait for her b/day-

Hideehi, my dd wanted one for her birthday in august and i really didn't think she'd used it, but she's played on it loads. I think it helps that ds has one as they play together with them. Is brilliant for in the car in long journeys though.

DD got one for her 7th birthday - the new pink DS Lite.

She loves it and uses it lots but not obsessively (I was a little worried about this)

She has a train your brain game that we both enjoy playing.

She has picked it up quickly but then is pretty IT literate anyway so not sure if that helped any
