just got one for dd1, the refill and the ddisney pack bumps up the price a fair bit.

dd1 loves stickers though.

Is it for Christmas Misdee or have you used it? There are reviews on Amazon about it snapping but I think my DD would love it!

my dd got the cella sticker maker last year(age5)and she does enjoy playing with it BUT she does struggle with the concept of which way the handle should be turned(and if it gets turned the wrong way then it all sticks together and you lose the whole roll of 'laminate stuff' iykwim!!)
i have tried marking the front of it but the only real solution(to avoid tears)is that Mummy has to help.....which is so annoying for her at times!!
another friends dd has the sticker maker too and she has the same problem(so it's not just my dd)

its for xmas.

my dd1 is 5 and her friend (also 5) has one....she has nagged me non stop for one since september (her friends b'day)
I haven't actually got her one though as my friend (her mum) said it was actually more trouble than it was worth...apparently its fiddly and she sticks the stickers everywhere!

ludaloo · 12/11/2006 09:28

p.s....my dd1 will probably just get some stickers in her stocking as I know how much she loves them....
I think she would appreciate the stickers more than the actual making of them IYSWIM

I think DD would enjoy making the stickers more than using them iyswim. She will be 7 in Feb. I wonder...

my dd got it for her 6th birthday and it has been a big success more so than the main present.

Gillian76 · 12/11/2006 22:43

OK I'll take the chance and warn her she has to be careful with it!

We got one for our dd (5yo) last christmas. Was fine till dd(2.5) got hold of it. She pulled loads of the sticky strip through and wasted it then tried to wind it the wrong way and the end of the strip disappeared inside.
I spent ages with a sharp knife trying to re-thread it. it is virtually impossible
We had to buy a new cartridge because most if the first was wasted.
You have been warned!!!

That said, under supervision, they're great!!
