Hello All,

My DS will be 7 months at Xmas and everyone keeps asking me what they can get him. Being my first child I'm a little in the dark as to what sort of things would be good for him to grow into. I'm guessing stuff aimed at 12 months would be good but any ideas would be much appreciated!!! (DH and I are buying him a Mothercare Super Trekker which apparently goes from 6 months to 3 years in various stages)

Fisher Price Stand up Ball Blast

Fisher Price Little People sets or ELC Happyland will be good for him to grow into

Little Tikes Rocker

Brick Trolley

Stacking cups, bath toys, books, chunky cars

Garden swing with baby seat for next summer? Or wee slide?

tomy do a brilliant thing which looks like an eggbox - open it up and there are 6 eggs inside which come apart and squeak. every baby/child is fascinated by it for YEARS. and

it costs £5. Highly recommended.

board books always very good, build a little library. also bath toys - those floaty little animals you get at elc.

don't buy too much, or you'll have nothing to buy him for his birthday! he won't really care either way

oh and my 9mth old has been playing alot with maracas and other shakey instruments recently. little tambourines etc. again, elc. and also that long rainmaker thing is good.

books

maybe ask people to choose special books that they want him to read, seeing as how he won't have a scooby.

Here's some things we got for ds's first xmas that he loved and still plays with now!! Wondercubes from Early Learning Centre
Flutterballs from Mothercare (not sure if they still do them but ds loved them and it encouraged him to crawl)
Books - from the range of That's not my..... touch and feel books from usborne
