Ok

Mine are

Putamayo christmas cd (ooh, its lovely, souped up Xmas carols from around the world. I can quite see myself working out to their We Three Kings)

and

Nat and Dean, but my cd is getting somewhat mangled.

Whats yours?

Harry cheesy Connick, 'When my heart finds Christmas', which is the first one.

'Fraaasty the snomaaaan...' etc. Hits the right note of festive schmaltz for me. I think he is definitely the new Val Doonican.

Orlando · 22/10/2006 12:39

(actually I think 'Frasty the snowman' may be on the second one. That one's pants)

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 22/10/2006 12:46

who is harry cormick?

he seems intriguing

Christmas with the Rat Pack is quite a good one.

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 22/10/2006 13:02

oh is there such a thing? That sounds good. I like Nat and Dean but would welcome an expanded repetoire.

Please please do us a copy of Putumayo, pleeeease

I will swop for Noggin the Nog

I like any collection that has things like "Coventry Carol" on and "Gaudete"

I also have a fab Maddy Prior one.

Orlando · 22/10/2006 14:20

Harry Connick is an American actor/singer, prob most famous for his role in the film Memphis Belle. He does that sort of glen Miller big-band stuff.

here he is looking like Val Doonican

TooTickyTheAppleBobber · 22/10/2006 14:31

I like The Wombles

TooTickyTheAppleBobber · 22/10/2006 14:32

"We wish you a wombling merry Christmas dada dada dada dada.."

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 22/10/2006 16:21

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 22/10/2006 16:21

first the ecologist - david cameron advisor

now the wombles- some dodgy association

interesting....interesting...

OP posts:
TooTickyTheAppleBobber · 22/10/2006 16:29

I refuse to believe there is anything dodgy about the Wombles! (The original wombles anyway, I think some of the new characters were a bit suspect...)

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 22/10/2006 16:38

have googled

its more that the composer of the theme tune composed a thing for the tories also

so not soooo bad then

I've got Christmas Harp by Patricia Spero. It's really fab forlistening to while having candles on and something festive to drink while pogging on mince pies - really atmospheric.

FrannyandZooey · 22/10/2006 16:48

Oooh Christmas Harp sounds lovely

mince pies round at yours then prairie

SSSandy · 22/10/2006 16:52

Don't like any of the Christmas CD's we have, grate on my nerves. The best is a Gospel CD but I only like some of the songs on it

TooTickyTheAppleBobber · 22/10/2006 16:56

Forgot to mention our Wombles isn't a CD but one of those funny old-fashioned record things

prairiemuffin · 22/10/2006 17:11

deeeep-filled mince pies, of course. and none of them rubbish ones that are just a bigger lot of pastry and the same pants amount of filling.

FrannyandZooey · 22/10/2006 17:20

Well I was hoping for organic?

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 22/10/2006 17:38

ah ssandy, sounds like you need nat & dean

OP posts:
prairiemuffin · 22/10/2006 18:21

We can do organic. Harp-music kind of lends itself to organic, methinks.

wheelybug · 22/10/2006 18:24

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 23/10/2006 08:18

snoopys christmas !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UCM · 28/10/2006 08:56

I went into one of those shops that pop up around the run up to Christmas yesterday and got 2 cd's for 2.00. One is Nat King Cole style christmas songs and the other is a Carol Choir, most impressed.
