I mean apart from spending the day with those you love and opening pressies etc. We usually go to the beach for an hour or so (we live by the sea)
But would like to do something different. Our old next door neighbours used to spend the afternoon having a kareoke (can't spell!)and invite everyone round. Do you do anything particularly?

DS's dad, his parents and brother always go round to their next door neighbours around 10am for a glass or three of Bucks Fizz, and where it used to be that all the kids used to disappear into the joined garden to play with all their presents, they now all disappear into the local pub till they receive a phone call telling them that Christmas lunch is on the table!

This year is the first year we'll be spending xmas at home without everyone round us and I think I'm going to make it tradition to go out for a walk after dinner.

Not much but just a nice little thing to do as a family with the kids, rather than sit and gawp at the rubbish tv.

We go to church . Also we have lunch with smoked salmon, pate etc and then the turkey hoohaa in the evening about 6pm - fits well with small child routines, no getting up at some unearthly hour to do the turkey, max help in the afternoon with last minute preps and long evening eating and drinking and chatting...very civilised and very lovely

We are going to the local Pantomime on Boxing Day this year. Whether this is actually a good idea with DS (3) remains to be seen!
