What was successful in your DCs stockings?

Next Christmas my DCs will be 7 (boy) and 4, 2.8 and 16 months (girls). I really struggle with what to put in stockings. I don't want them to cost too much but at the same time don't want to just fill them with tat. What was a success in yours?

Although I've just noticed that it's £3 cheaper in Very! Grr!

I suppose I saved that in P&P though.

Dd1 (7yo) - Frozen knickers and socks.

Dd2 (4yo) - castanets

DD3 - (11 months) - Gloworm soft toy that lights up and plays lullabys

Thanks Robin but I realised I had hot mixed up - thought Olaf was that little meerkat from the insurance ads!

a really powerful magnet. (DS 10)

Frozen bubble bath and Olaf bath jigsaw both from the pound shop. A very hungry caterpillar fleece blanket.

Not sure why we bothered buying anything else Smile

DS (7) loved the sticky window bugs that I got in Wilkos for a pound.
The packet of good quality gel pens and big pad of paper were also a hit, as was the Minion soap on a rope.

Oh, and sweets and chocolates of course...last year he got the Beanboozled jelly beans that he LOVED - great fun on Christmas Day trying to get people to try the revolting flavours!

Dd is 2.8 and most loved (of all her gifts, not just stocking fillers!) her Peppa magic painting set, from somewhere like Book People or The Works (I forget). £3. It seems to be better than other magic painting, in the sense that the colours are much brighter and not the usual sludgy brown. Also, it dries and you can then do it again. A gift that goes on giving. Magic!

Bath fizzes/bombs. Every year, they are the thing they love most- I wouldn't dare to not put them in now! I have wised up and buy them in the post Christmas sales now....Wink

Multipack of different coloured retractable sharpies - bought for me (54!) by DD. I love them
