...the crackers for Christmas Day lunch {doh} and the green beans with lemon which I had made - just left them sitting in their pan on the hob! Muppet!

At least I remembered to serve the stuffing out of the chicken (have forgotten that before) and I think I remembered all the presents!

What did you forget?

I forgot to put any cranberry sauce on my plate. Sad

Starlightbright1 · 26/12/2014 21:34

Pigs in blankets...Still in freezer

dancingwitch · 26/12/2014 21:37

To bring my slippers home with me. My parent's house is freezing so I am having to wear two pairs of socks instead. However, I did remember to bring all of the presents, stockings, stocking fillers, "santa stop here" & other odds & ends with me so I don't think I did too badly.

poocatcherchampion · 26/12/2014 21:42

to cook the goose!

lunch was late..

WastingMyYoungYears · 26/12/2014 21:48

One of DS's presents Confused.

clary · 26/12/2014 21:54

Think we need to make a better list for next year :)

Forgot where I hid a kath Kidston nightie for my dd! Still not found or any clue where it is!!!

RufusTheReindeer · 26/12/2014 21:56

FIL forgot the sausages, brussell sprouts and stuffing

I think it's his age

MrsMcRuff · 26/12/2014 22:10

Kind of forgot the cranberry sauce. Well not so much forgot, as bought redcurrant jelly by mistake, weeks ago, when I was trying to be efficient!

Thought it would be a disaster, as everyone was poking about (with a spoon!) in the jar, criticising its consistency, and sniffing suspiciously. But, hoorah! Apparently it goes very well with turkey.

Also forgot to put my nut roast in the oven till I was dishing up, so sat down to a plate of veg while it was cooking!

Who are Olaf and Sven btw, Christmas?!

WiseKneeHair · 26/12/2014 22:17

I didn't forget anything

Or, at least, I don't think I did. But how would I know if I had? Confused

Chillycamper · 26/12/2014 22:34

Finger lights. I ordered them for Halloween but they arrived after the party. So I thought they'd make good stocking fillers. I remembered them today and now can't find them.
But I did find pedicare foot thing I forgot to give to DD. who knows what else is lurking in the depths of my wardrobe...

306235388 · 26/12/2014 22:44

Burnt the Yorkshire puddings by leaving them in oven .

Also have somehow lost a CD dd should have got for her Xmas. She's 4 so she doesn't realise but it was £12 so am v annoyed.

306235388 · 26/12/2014 22:48

MrsMcRuff who are Olaf and Sven?? Where do you live that Disneys Frozen hAs not infiltrated every aspect of your being?? Can I come stay with you?

MrsMcRuff · 27/12/2014 00:31

Ah, the mystery that is Frozen!

You're very welcome to stay with me, 306235388, but I fear it will involve much Match of the Day and Top Gear!!

slithytove · 27/12/2014 00:49

To buy crackers, chocolate coins and celebrations.

And to serve the beef gravy.

slithytove · 27/12/2014 00:51

And I forgot the red cabbage

HerrenaHarridan · 27/12/2014 01:25

The starter, Yorkshire pudding, pigs in blanket, green beans and crackers.
The homemade cranberry sauce I've been saving since last christmas.

AuditAngel · 27/12/2014 01:35

I forgot where I had hidden my secret Santa present, so had to buy another.

clary · 27/12/2014 09:40

slithytove if you want any chocolate coins, I have 27 packets on top of a cupboard.

They were for my form and as I parked up at school at 8.15am on the last day of term I realised I had left them there (half hour drive to get them wasn't worth it!). I also forgot to bring my payslip home. Think I am definitely starting to lose it Grin

I forgot to cook DH's horrible Aunt Bessie's stuffing ball things. I cooked my lovely sausage meat ones but not the safe & onion frozen ones.
Dinner was briefly delayed while I smoked the house out trying to cook them at maximum oven temp.
Apart from that I think I remembered everything. I'm sure I'll find a present lurking somewhere in about March though.

FourthMary · 27/12/2014 10:06

I found a tray of star biscuits yesterday that I put in the oven on Christmas Eve, two roasts had been cooked since, so they were basically ash. Oh well the thought was there.

Boredshitless · 27/12/2014 10:09

To cook the pigs in blankets...third year running ??

306235388 · 27/12/2014 13:20

mrsmcruff that's ok I'm used to match of the day too with Ds

disneymum3 · 27/12/2014 15:34

Forgotten items: cranberry sauce, carrot and Swede mash, roast squash, still in fridge/freezer.
I didn't buy enough crackers I bought 6 we needed 11, luckily though grandma had a pack she had found hidden in her loft.

NoLongerJustAShopGirl · 27/12/2014 17:02

forgot to buy cranberry sauce (I am the ONLY one who likes it too!!)

oh, and have lost DH Christmas card... I bought it in Nov, signed it, sealed it and "put-it-away-somewhere-safe" hahahahaha... it is safe all right.
