What to buy

My dad, early 50's no hobbies. I always get him
Chocolates or alcohol any other suggestions

A book of some sort?
Sweets rather than chocs?
Aftershave?

Something he loved from his childhood (might be a tough one though - I know nothing about my dad's childhood)

Car accessories?
Travel mug for work?
Nice smellies?

Does he like gardening? Or even just sitting in his garden (if he has one)..
something for that?

um...I'm out of ideas
