I need some inspiration please! Dp is 38. I've got him a record he wanted and I know of a DVD he wants. What else can I get him? My mum will probably get him socks Xmas Grin

Video games, a funny mug, expensive chocolates, a character t shirt he will love, the Viz annual (gets it every year) and a DVD from the kids.

lucysmam · 20/12/2014 19:14

A remote controlled helicopter & a Heisenberg/Breaking Bad thermal mug.

He wanted a rc helicopter as a child but never got one so I've bought him one.

TheReluctantCountess · 20/12/2014 19:17

The Viz annual! Of course!
Where can I get a bReaking Bad thermal mug? That's a good idea - he uses a thermal mug every day.
Thank you fellow MNers Xmas Smile

Aero press coffee machine, posh shaving kit, selfie stick, sourdough starter and a chilli plant kit

lucysmam · 20/12/2014 19:22

I ordered it from Amazon for £8.99 plus free delivery, it's gone up to £9.99 plus £4 something delivery [Link removed by MNHQ - just in case!]

Red5 gadget shop had it on their shelves for £12 ish though if there's one near you Smile

lucysmam · 20/12/2014 19:23

ahem...I think that links you to my amazon account Blush

LetticeKnollys · 20/12/2014 19:27

Some speakers for his computer he wanted
Aqua di geo (sp?) aftershave
A Jumper
I also got him a Breaking Bad ('I am the one who knocks') travel mug! I got it from Amazon. I also got him a thermos - he does a lot of commuting, likes coffee, and always complains about the price of Starbucks which is all there is at the services he stops at.

I have suddenly realised that he has got me several more presents than I have got him... Uh oh, last minute panic ahead!

superbagpuss · 20/12/2014 19:29

pants, a couple of games and CDs that he wants

main present will be a night away in a nice hotel, not sure how to gift wrap that Hmm

chemistc · 20/12/2014 19:32

Probably not going to give you any inspiration but I am getting my dad a motocross helmet as he is starting vintage bike racing at the age of 57!!!

dashoflime · 20/12/2014 19:34

A massive print of the landscape on Mars. One of the pictures from the Discovery mission.

Twinklestar2 · 20/12/2014 19:38

I started a similar thread yesterday and got loads of answers. Scroll down and you'll see it Smile

In answer to your question I got the following from me and our 4 month old son:

Ted Baker washbag and smellies
Thermal socks
Reese's hamper
Star Wars book
Daddy Christmas mug
I love my daddy storybook
Private Eye subscription

Some of that stuff is for his birthday so I'm going to get him a few more bits. I'm thinking:

Costa coffee syrups
Ted Baker undies

... And any ideas I can find from reading these threads Wink

iPhone 6 plus.

I'm so excited to give it to him. Just this afternoon he said he would love one. He has no idea. Can't wait!

Then a lovely belt, and a silly t shirt for the children to give him.

NCIS · 20/12/2014 19:46

Golf club, golf shoes, Spectator subscription and shaving cream.

TheReluctantCountess · 20/12/2014 19:46

Oh some great ideas here.mthank you all.
A magazine subscription is a good idea. M&S have a stand of subscriptions - I shall go and have a look tomorrow to see if they have a footy mag one. He'd like that.

Reluctant - I got OH a subscription to World Soccer one year, he loved it.

GAP sale has extra 20% off today if there's anything there you could get him?

TheReluctantCountess · 20/12/2014 20:54

I'll have a look, thank you.
Beer is a no-no as DP no longer drinks.
I'm going shopping tomorrow - DVD (Breaking Bad box set), Viz annual and footy mag subscriptions are top of my list.
Thanks everyone. I knew MN could help me.
