I need to get a secret Santa gift for a lovely colleague who has been a great support to me (female). We don't do the jokey type at my office but we are not allowed booze or bath stuff!

Under £10.

Anyone got any ideas, I'm getting a bit desperate!

Marking place

AuntieStella · 13/12/2014 21:48

Nice mug and coffee beans (either to grind to drink, or chocolate covered to eat).

LuckyLopez · 13/12/2014 21:49

I got a half price scarf hat and gloves (£3 each) from H&M for my one, very well received.

Mumtothenipper · 13/12/2014 21:51

A lovely notebook?
Cinema or coffee shop voucher?
A set of notecards?
A print out of a picture or nice quote you think she would like in a frame she can out on her desk?

Hope these aren't rubbish ideas, trying to think of things I would like. :-)

THIS

I'm not sure if it will go down well but it makes me laff Grin

TheRealMaryMillington · 13/12/2014 21:52

Ah, my usual suggestion of balaclava and wire cutters won't work then….

Lovely cook book?

plus some spices to go with?

PoinsettiaGordino · 13/12/2014 21:54

You could get a beautiful tree decoration for that amount, perhaps handmade from a craft fair?

Imscarlet · 13/12/2014 21:56

Marking my place as I have the same issue. I was thinking about a nice pair of gloves as she does yard duty every day but would get fuck all nice gloves for a tenner.

DrEllieSattler · 13/12/2014 21:56

I got mine a nerf gun and some ammo. Grin

StoryOfMyLife · 13/12/2014 21:57

Some brilliant ideas - thank you!

Cook book is a great idea.

She was admiring my nice note book one day so that's a good idea too!

Mug and Coffee or coffee shop vouchers are great too.

Thanks so much.

TheRealMaryMillington · 13/12/2014 22:07

Nerf gun. Oh yes.

PrincessOfChina · 13/12/2014 22:10

Stationery is a good one. I love a notebook with dividers personally.

I'd also appreciate hair slides or fancy bobbles but that depends on the recipient.

snice · 13/12/2014 22:19

tin of fancy hot chocolate

nice pens/fineliners

cookbook

texting gloves?

furcoatbigknickers · 13/12/2014 22:21

Well I'd like cinema or costa voucher,Cookbook, nice gloves, sunglasses, candle

momb · 13/12/2014 22:26

Depends on her circumstances but Girl's night in kit?
Scented candle, hand and face mask sachets, dvd (think 'The Holiday' or similar £1.99), chocolate. If booze were allowed I'd stick in a miniature too.

BreakOutTheKaraoke · 13/12/2014 23:06

If you enjoy baking, I once spent the cash on ingredients and made some treat foods for my secret santa. I made biscotti, gingerbread men, and cheese biscuits and a couple of similar bits, put it all in a christmas tin with a box of christmas teabags from Whittards. Went down brilliantly- she always says it was one of her favourite presents ever.

You can give her a little small teapot . I'm sure the tea in the office, she drinks very often Brew

My dh had ss for his colleague same price. In it went:

Bottle of radox, pre mixed cocktail. A Terry's chocolate orange, a small Yankee candle and a face mask!

Instant pamper box

GirlAnachronism · 15/12/2014 09:09

I got some lovely earrings from Ruby Rae on amazon for £8 iirc, gift boxed too, so looks even nicer

gemdrop84 · 15/12/2014 10:07

I don't know if they would like handmade items but I use thebasket.co.uk along with lots of other crafters. It's a free marketplace for us crafters and there are all sorts of lovely things on there for that budget.

MHinge · 13/11/2018 09:34

We tend to get mugs for each other. It helps in the office as it means you know who hasnt washed up, and you can be quite specific on what you want to say to them.

This is my favourite www.maryhinge.com/product/office-babe-cake-mug/
