Do you leave your chistmas tree lights on when out or in bed?

My first thoughts were turn them off. Don't want to waste electricity or have a fire risk. On other hand don't want burglars to know when we are out and it is so nice to come home in dark and see it twinkling in window.

What do you do? It's a long string of plug in led lights

Quite often leave them on . These days the bulbs don't get hot, but we turn them off during the night.

Mine haven't been off since we turned them on last weekend... I thought only fairy lights from decades a go were a fire hazard. :/

Mine have been on since we put them up... They are led if that makes any difference

We turn ours on at dusk and off when we go to bed, but leave them on if we are out.
