What age for playmobil

DS is 3 in January.

I know they do the playmobil 123 but wondering if that would be too babyish and if he would be ok going straight for the main playmobil.

He loves playing with figures etc so I'm hoping to build up a collection in time (if he enjoys it!)

For a 3 year old would you go for playmobil regular or 123?

Id go regular. My sons played with regular playmobil since being 2 due to older brother. He's loved it and been fine but there are ALOT of small pieces so I ensure we tidy straight away so none get lost and I supervise to ensure they are not eaten.

As coconutjoe said. Ds 3.7 really enjoys regular playmobil- small parts warning though if your dc tend to put things in mouths. Check out ebay for bundles

DS got the big pirate ship for his 3rd birthday and loved it.

I used to strip it down and just give DS the 'main' toy, then keep the tiny, fiddly bits in Tupperware pots to be re-introduced later.
