Any ideas where I can get a very traditional but not too expensive leather handbag.

for MIL.

She's in late 70s, very traditional, doesn't like the way M&S has gone modern! Has plenty of cash now but won't use things if she thinks they are expensive. Wants an old style shoulder bag with pockets and zipped compartments.

TK Maxx online always has a selection of Osprey handbags that would probably fit the bill - nice and plain, traditional shapes, etc.

On second thoughts, I've just had a look and everything seems to be mock croc and around £150, which is more expensive than I remember. TK Maxx still worth a look though.

have you checked out Tula? they have some lovely classic handbags

not sure what you call 'not too' expensive though

Thanks both will have a look. My OP was a bit blunt. She's lovely. I suppose by not expensive I mean not more than £100.

Beautysteals.co.uk do very reasonable handbags - use code NEW13 for 20% off and you get a free gift ( jewellery) and a scarf with all orders

Clarks could work

I quite often think that some of the Radley bags look v old fashioned! Smile

Are any of these Pia one any good? I think the quality for price is very good and quite cheap for leather bags.

Maybe not entirely traditional but leather and great value www.katekanzier.com/shop/handbags/
