Need ideas for Christmas and his 2nd birthday coming up

Same here. We are getting a wooden balance bike thing from eBay and probably a book with buttons/sounds for DS. But not sure what else. Watching with interest.

My son is 3. This year and last we got him accessories for his brio train set. Big jigs is compatible but much cheaper.

I have got my 2 year old daughter the toot toot garage which has dropped to £19.99 on amazon just now and it looks great. Imaginext toys are robust and good value. We have the fire station , bat cave and submarines. Play doh and duplo sets are popular with my kids.

ds2 will be two in Jan.
For Xmas he's got lots of wow toys and a ride on tractor.
For his birthday we've bought him the Ikea toy kitchen.

We already have from ds1, brio, toy garage, imaginext, duplo. All get played with lots

DS has another train for his brio and a builders hat/hi vi vest as his 'main presents' plus bits and bobs in his stocking.

Mine has a big sister, so we have a house of toys. DS (2.5) is getting some trains and extra bits of track for his train set, a garage and some cars. Sounds really stingy, but he'll be so happy with that.

DS 2.5 is getting a spooner board for Xmas, as is his older sister. Basically because I want to play with it. Am aware this may well end in many bruises/breaks though - we're not the most coordinated family.

Also a monster costume, and some books.

I think the most exciting thing for him though will be stocking as will have chocolate coins and little cars in.

Ds (2.5) is getting:

Ds 2.5 is getting a toot toot train station, an easel with crayons & chalk, some Duplo & a load of books

Mine is a girl but she's getting the Vtech toot toot safari with some extra animals, a magnadoodle, Peppa pig interactive mat and a light up teddy that projects onto the ceiling.

DS is 2.5 and currently loves playing with the play kitchen, food, trolley & cash register; doctor's set; pushing the dolls around in the pushchair; riding the hobby horse; playing with the Happyland/fisher price pirate ship, farm, space rocket & fair; doing threading beads or a peg board; jigsaws; his musical instruments; he is beginning to play with his Toot Toot stuff that he had for Christmas last year.
For Christmas this year he is having a train set.

DS will be 2 in early January. He has duplo in various forms and a balance bike for Christmas. Probably a castle of some kind for his birthday.

This thread is great because the number of presents is so normal. I was starting to feel really stingy because nearly everyone i know goes OTT. Ive got dd a kitchen (really cheap and cheerful one, not an expensive one) and some pretend food, a duplo train and books. Will be adding play doh and a minion night light to it. There are other things that she might like but am waiting to see what fam and friends have got first because she will probably end up with a ton of stuff.

DS3 2.4 is getting an ELC kitchen and play food from Santa. His stocking has 5 little Caterpiller digger truck things- found for £6! Some markers, books and chocolate.
From relatives he is getting threading beads, a big jigs counting wooden toy and building blocks.
I agree that the amount some folks get seems very big to me. But each to their own I suppose...
