Just had a Christmas twitch in the Boden sale - only for Dd and didn't buy anything that didn't have 50% off.

I had the email. Nothing in any sizes I wanted so I have ordered nothing. The first time in years that I've not placed a huge sale order.

I've had problems ordering this year. Most orders rejected at payment despite money in my account. I rung and the payment goes through over the phone. But after it happened a couple of times I couldn't be bothered to ring anymore and just cancelled.

And they took the money for the spring/summer order that's not supposed to shop until January!! Why do I want spring clothing now? January was early enough.

Everything I liked, I already bought in the pre-season preview or in earlier discount events.

So...it's a meh from me.

I spend a fortune with them, both for me & DD and never get into the sale preview. I think I will be taking my money elsewhere. I don't like johnny telling me i'm not special enough to join his club. He can fuck off with his stupid emails too - he manages to find my inbox when sending me shit about dogs in scarves

I'm not ordering until its free P&P for returns, as I always have to order 2 sizes with Boden, so don't want to be paying for a load of returns.

Agree with you Dancing. It's a bit of a silly marketing ploy. Just have a sale for everyone and be done with it.

DS2 fancied a check shirt (channelling Ed Sheeran - anyone else watching the music awards?) so I had to buy one of those peacock dresses (40% off) to get value from the p&p. that's my excuse

It's a rubbish sale. There's about three items with 50% off and the rest are not as reduced as they have been with the recent 30% off. Johnny must have selected those of us who he thinks are easily conned by the word sale. I didn't fall for it Johnny.

Boden aren't the only ones to do this though. Next do it every sale. They've never invited me to the VIP sale despite using my directory loads as the store never seems to have the stuff we want to buy.

I always get a next slot, not expecting one this year as I have only ordered sale items from them and havn't ordered hardly anything all year.
